Lee Petty at FOX Sports is reporting that sources close to the deal are verifying that Petty Enterprises will be shutting their doors on their much storied shop and joining forces with the GEM shop.
Trying to keep, or take advantage of the brand, the newly formed team will be rebranded under the Petty Banner. Yet we all know it won't be and thus ends another NASCAR legacy, making way for the future. The future being where it will more than likely be 5 massive teams facing off against each other in the 43 car field.

Why Boys Love Wooden Trains And Cars
by Rachel Nunez
Children appreciate both new and old toys. Boys love wooden trains and cars while girls like dolls. The parents do their best to provide or give what is best for their kid even though it means sacrificing extra cash. However, you can still give them what they want for a cheaper price. Your children can play with many toys out there. You just need to know where to find them and if they allow haggling, haggle away. Do not be shy to do this because you might get the item at an even cheaper price.

Electrical toys are gaining popularity because it does everything for you. Children love remote controlled toys or RC toys are because with a touch of a button, the toy immediately follows your command. The remote needs two AA batteries; when you see that you have drained batteries, changing them is not so hard. In order to play with the toy longer, make sure to operate in a space that no one can reach it or step on it. More so, supervise the child when playing with it so avoid any accidents from happening.
Still some children prefer playing with wooden trains because they can do whatever they want to do with it. In addition, the toy will not leave his or her side since it has no mechanism or outside force to make it happen. When kids put pressure on the trains this is the only time that it will move. Another advantage of playing with such is there are no tiny parts that the children can possibly swallow. Wooden toys are usually big are glued or nailed together. It too has a smooth finish wherein children and parents need not to worry about wounding themselves by playing with it.
Little girls play with pretend cooking utensils and the likes. Many toys are available that the girls can choose from but they still prefer to play with plastic kitchenware. They imagine themselves being mothers and cooking for their families. They too pretend that they have a restaurant or food chain wherein people sit and dine there. They use stuffed toys and other dolls to seem that they have company or customers. If a chance passes them to play with the other kids, they do not have a hard time playing with them.
Nevertheless, children have their own opinion of playing with wooden trains or electric ones. It is still best to ask your kid what he likes so that when you buy him one, you will get the right one. Sometimes, children throw tantrums when you give him a toy that he does not like. To avoid this, you can also bring him to the toy store if he chooses only the one that he likes and the one that he will really play with. Talking to the kid and telling him what he needs to do when they arrive at the toy store helps the child ready himself for the trip.

The Largest Win Margin in NASCAR
Who's got the largest win margin in NASCAR?
In a race marred with all kinds of problems, the 1965 Southern 500 at Darlington booked out with all kinds of issues and merits.
In this race, rookie Buren Skeen died in the early laps of the race.
Cale Yarborough ended up rolling his car 6x ending up at the end of the parking lot.
Ned Jarrett ended up winning the race: By 14 laps. The largest margin of victory in NASCAR history.
At that point, I'm guessing he could save his equipment!

Your Guide To Electric RC Cars
by Tony Williams
Radio-controlled cars are becoming more and more popular, with people of all ages and gender getting into the hobby. However, as one first enters the world of RC cars, one learns that there are so many choices on the type, model, and kinds of cars. For example, you have to choose what will be the source to power your car: electric or fuel. As a beginner, you will look at the pros and cons of each. This article will be looking further at advantages and disadvantages of electric-powered RC cars.
Advantages of electric-powered RC cars:
1. These cars are easy to clean. With batteries as the source of power, these will have no grease nor oil patches to scrub off.
2. These cars are lightweight; they do not carry the extra load of the fuel and tank.
3. These are easier to control. Unlike in the fuel-powered RC cars, engines of electric cars have a more balanced torque. This makes swerving and drifting easier to control.
4. These cars have better throttle response. With a lighter weight and a smoother engine, electric-powered cars respond better to an increase in engine power, and, thus, they accelerate faster. This is a very important advantage in short distance races.
5. These cars are quiet and don't give off gasoline fumes. Without the roar similar to a real car and fumes like those from fuel-powered cars, electric RC cars are suitable for indoor racing.
6. These cars have minimal regular maintenance. Since electric-powered RC cars don't use fuel, you don't need to perform oil changes, engine tune-ups, fuel checking, and other maintenance activities as you would with fuel-powered cars. Maintenance of electric RC cars are limited to dusting off the dirt, checking any damaged and worn-out parts, and replacing them.
Disadvantages of electric powered RC cars:
1. It may take a long time to fully charge the batteries of these cars. The cars may run for only 10 minutes before the batteries need recharging, which may take thirty minutes to fully charge them. In some models, it may not be practical to carry spare batteries and replace the dead ones.
2. These cars achieve lower speeds than fuel-powered cars. Electric cars can run up to 40 mph while fuel-powered cars run over 70 mph.
3. Engines of these cars use permanent magnets that may overheat and get damaged during long runs. Thus, remember to cool down the engines after each run.
4. With the popularity of fuel-powered RC cars, manufacturers produce more of this kind of cars than electric-powered ones. Hence, replacement parts for electric RC cars may not be readily available in the market.
Even with these disadvantages, it is better for a beginner to start with electric-powered RC cars. The simplicity and easy maintenance of these cars make them ideal to the person who is just starting out with this hobby.

A.J. Allmendinger To Replace Sadler at Gillett Evernham?
Marty Smith from ESPN is reporting that team sources are saying that A.J. Allmendinger is set to replace Elliott Sadler in the No. 19 Dodge in the upcoming 2009 season.
"???"
I thought that Sadler had a continuing contract with GE through 2010? According to sources, because of this change some sponsors left the team.
If this is true, I am happy for Allmendinger, or 'Dinger to his buddies. He deserved a good ride considering his level of talent. But what the heck will happen to Elliott Sadler? That's nuts and not fair to him, if the obvious happens.
Obviously, there will be more to follow as things develop.

Christmas in the Snow
We spent our second Christmas at the Bradley Lodge. We were welcomed by about 3 feet of snow around the property and on the deck and within about 24 hours had an extra foot of fresh powder as our Christmas present. My dad and I made it to Bear Valley to enjoy all of the fresh powder and a beautiful day (although very cold, with temperatures as low as -3). After hanging out on the slopes and seeing Erin and Eric, we played lots of cards, ate well and just had a good time relaxing.

Shaft drive are giving you perfect response and less resistance than belt drive to moving. 2.Maintenance. A smart project of Toyota and Subaru to working together on a rear-wheel-drive sportscar with “wonderful styling” have been replaced by rumours that the car has been put on hold.
The future and superb drift machine, regarded by many as the potential successor to the now legendary AE86, is believe to be based on the current Subaru Legacy platform and powered by a boxer engine putting out around 200hp through a six speed manual transmission.
The original plan is due in 2011,but, according to Nikkei, the car has been delayed to at least 2012 or more. But with things set to get even worse around the globe, 2012 may just come and go without any trace of a Toyobaru RWD sports car.
